Biography On Peyton Manning

Peyton Williams Manning (born March 24, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American football quarterback who plays for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Colts with the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee.

He is the son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and brother of current New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

Largely due to his consistent statistical performance throughout his career, Manning is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of his era. Manning has established several NFL records, including: most touchdown passes in a single season (49 in 2004), most consecutive seasons with over 4,000 yards passing (1999-2004), and most seasons with 4,000 or more yards passing in a career .Manning is second on the list for highest career passer rating, behind only the retired Steve Young. Manning is also the all-time career yard and touchdown passing leader for the Colts franchise, having passed Johnny Unitas's mark.
